FEXONY-30 Suspension is an oral pediatric medication primarily used for the treatment of various allergic conditions in children. Fexofenadine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body responsible for allergic symptoms.
Key features and uses:
Indication: Relief of symptoms associated with allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, nasal congestion, itching, hives (urticaria), eczema, conjunctivitis, reactions to insect bites, and some food allergies.
Mechanism: Selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, reducing histamine-mediated allergic responses.
