Cetgo-2.5 Syrup contains Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 2.5 mg per 5 ml and is an oral antihistamine syrup primarily used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (including persistent allergic rhinitis) and urticaria in children and adults.
Product Description:
1. Active Ingredient: Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 2.5 mg per 5 ml
2. Form: Oral syrup; clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid
3. Indications:
– Relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the throat or nose)
– Treatment of urticaria (hives), which presents as red, raised, itchy patches on the skin
4. Mechanism of Action:
– Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine, a chemical in the body responsible for allergic symptoms.
5. Dosage:
– For children and adults, the dose and duration should be as prescribed by a physician. The syrup is administered orally, with or without food.
6. Common Side Effects:
– May include headache, dry mouth, drowsiness, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and occasionally dizziness or weakness.
